The crossing water

Man walks forward
So slow
Rumbling echo
Definite steps from darkness
Stop...expectation
It falls...drip...
Top center, to the head
Another drip...slow motion descent
Trickles to streams
Gushing sheets in reams
Wild roar blasts the ears
Waterfall pours, crashing
Over the man, flooding all fears
Pounding, plunging down
All concealed in tremendous power
Thundering sound...
Senses now dull, heavy in water
The flow abates
And drips playing nature's rhythm
Strike puddles on the ground
Body gone, washed clean away
Still
In the void
Thought after thought flow
Like water
Through the mind
